The MPS strategic planner and journal are based on the MPS Strategic Planning Methodology. This methodology systematically focuses on optimizing your efforts and activities to help you accomplish long term objectives and goals that are nested under your vision. It utilizes a time tested and proven approach that when followed properly, will deliver great results.

Both the strategic planner and journal are structured to help you define your future vision. They will also help you develop nested goals and objectives that to keep you focused and on track.

How to use your MPS Strategic Planner and Journal

Both the strategic planner and journal have the MPS Strategic Planning Methodology build in at the start of each. Below are examples of what you will see in each planner and journal.

The first thing you will do is define and write down your vision and mission statements. You will also identify and establish your core values on the same page. On the adjacent page is a vision board. Here you will write and or draw your thoughts and ideas that support your vision.

The next thing you will find in your planner or journal is a three-month calendar. It is used to see the bigger picture.  Write out projected goal completion dates, upcoming milestones, events or appointments.

The next thing beyond the three-month calendar is a weekly calendar. Here write down all activity’s tasks for the week. Adjacent to the weekly calendar is the weekly summary. Here you will write down the main goals and or objectives you want to focus on for the week. Below that you will identify the main tasks or activities that must be done to accomplish your weekly goals or objectives. At the bottom of the page, you can write down notes and identify key events for the week.

On the following page you will find the daily activities page. At the top left you will write down the very most important task or activity of the day. To the right you can write down reminders or routine activities. At the bottom use this area for notes, tasks and as a to-do list.
